adidas Originals have one of the most extensive archives in sportswear – with genre and decade-defining shoes littering the brands 69-year history.

With such fine margins between victory and second place in elite sports, innovation is the only currency that counts. Because of this culture, the past 70 years have seen a swathe of new technologies hit the roads, tracks and fields – the Never Made pack partners these up with uppers from different eras, in some cases refreshing the silhouette, and in others creating something with a completely new feel.

Inspired by design-led internal workshops, the pack taps into three decades of archival design, sole-swapping past icons to intersect the past and future of the brand.
The Genealogy of NMD puts the Nomad’s tooling beneath 80’s design – bringing together the retro-future appeal of the Micropacer with 2015’s game-changing contemporary lifestyle design.

The Country x Kamanda adds the aggressive gum sole of this year’s contemporary terrace model to the 70’s nylon/suede all-terrain runner. The result is striking, and something that looks more terrace inspired than the standalone Kamanda silhouette.

Including new takes on the I-5923 and EQT tooling, the full Never Made pack launches at SEVEN on the 17th October.
